Community involvement gives better outcomes

It does not matter if you live in a small country town or a large metropolitan city, there are always opportunities for you to serve your fellow citizens in some capacity. Cities and towns across the state need their residents to serve on various boards and committees, those who are willing to volunteer their time, share their expertise, experience, and ideas to help their city or town flourish.
If you like participating in group discussions, being a part of a team, and are interested in serving your community, Newcastle has several opportunities to offer you.
The City of Newcastle is currently searching for individuals who would be interested in serving on the "Board of Adjustments," the "Local Planning Advisory Committee (LPAC)," the "Oversight Committee," or the "Newcastle Economic Development Authority (NEDA)."
If this sounds interesting to you and you would like more information about serving on any of these boards or committees, you may contact the Office of the City Manager at 387-4427. We would be happy to discuss available opportunities with you.
