Newcastle Parks & Recreation Wants Your Feedback on Community Events

Newcastle Parks & Recreation is inviting residents to share their thoughts on the city’s popular events through the new Newcastle Events Survey.

The survey asks participants to reflect on community favorites like Easter in the Park, Youth Fishing Derby, Red White & Blue Fest, Haunt the Park, and Christmas in the Park. Responses will help shape future activities to ensure they continue to bring joy, connection, and lasting memories for all ages.

As a thank-you, fully completed surveys submitted by Sunday, September 7th will be entered into a drawing for a Family Holiday VIP Package, featuring:

• The chance to launch the fireworks with a giant TNT-style plunger.
• Free hot cocoa for the family.
• A line-skip pass for Santa photos.

The winner will be contacted by email on Wednesday, September 10th.

“We want to hear from our community,” said Kyle Marks, Parks Director. “Your feedback helps us make each event more fun, more inclusive, and more memorable for Newcastle families.”

The survey takes only a few minutes, and participant information will be used solely for prize notification and Parks & Recreation planning.
