Step Into the Magic of the Season at Newcastle's "Christmas in the Park"
Published: Friday, December 6, 2024
Join us on Saturday, December 7th for Christmas in the Park at Veterans Park — a joyful way to celebrate the holiday season with family, friends, and community.
Families are invited to take FREE photos with Santa in his workshop. While waiting for their turn, children can work on crafts and activities sponsored by the Pioneer Library System, making the wait fun and engaging. There will also be a free photo area with festive backdrops for family pictures, ensuring everyone can capture their own special holiday memories.
Explore the North Pole Market filled with handcrafted gifts, holiday treats, and unique arts and crafts, while enjoying delicious food truck fare and festive music.
Don’t miss the chance to win! Four bicycles will be given away at 4:45 PM for children ages 0-12, courtesy of the Newcastle Rotary Club — adding an extra element of excitement for our young guests.
The evening’s centerpiece, the Christmas Parade, will begin at 6:00 PM. Throughout the afternoon, enjoy live performances by local talent, featuring music and dance:
- 3:15 PM: Shiloh Christian Academy
- 3:45 PM: Footworks Dance Academy
- 4:15 PM: Newcastle High School Choir
- 4:45 PM: Elevate Dance Academy
- 5:15 PM: 3rd and 4th Grade Elementary School
“As a community, we take pride in celebrating the holidays together,” says Kyle Marks, Newcastle Parks Director. “Christmas in the Park is about coming together and making memories.”
The day will conclude with the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:15 PM. Gather with family and neighbors as we light the tree and officially welcome the holiday season to Newcastle.
Whether you’re looking for a family outing, a chance to find unique holiday gifts, or simply want to soak in the festive spirit, Christmas in the Park is the perfect place to do it.
