Big news, Newcastle! Starting February 6, 2024, we're upgrading every water meter in the city to bring you a smarter, more efficient water service. With the help of MetronFarnier and Goins Enterprise, our goal is to complete this city-wide upgrade by October 2024. Here's the scoop:

We're stepping up to provide you with real-time data on your water usage, thanks to WaterScope, Metron’s cutting-edge app. This means you can spot leaks early, manage your water more efficiently, and avoid unexpected high bills.

The Process:

  • Quick and Easy: Expect a brief water shut-off—just 15 to 30 minutes—while we swap your meter. No need for you to do anything; we've got it covered.
  • Stay in the Loop: If we run into issues, we'll keep you informed. Your understanding and cooperation will make this upgrade a breeze.

Stay Connected with WaterScope:

Once upgraded, you'll get access to the WaterScope app. Monitor your usage, receive alerts for leaks, and keep your water bills in check—all at your fingertips.
