Walk the Trail

Walk The Trail at Veterans Park is a new walking program that promotes health, wellness and community among Newcastle and surrounding residents.

Walk the Trail is a physical activity tracking program that encourages participants to practice healthy walking/running/biking habits. The goal of Walk the Trail is to promote health, wellness, and community by encouraging physical activity.

Participants will record their activity, and report their activity at the end of each week via Cognito Forms (Walking Log), or in person (PDF Log/Printable Log).

Kyle Marks, Director of Parks and Recreation, will facilitate the program by: sharing information about various walking apps that can assist with tracking, and offering health and wellness tips. This program will include a weekly prize raffled each week of the 8-week program.

This program will be offered in the Spring and once again in the Fall.
