The Directors 100 Mile Challenge

The Director’s 100-Mile Challenge is a community-wide wellness program designed to keep residents active, motivated, and connected. Participants are challenged to walk or run 100 miles in 100 days — starting April 18, 2026, and ending July 26, 2026.

All participants will register through Eventeny (Link will be added here once active), where you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to join our official Strava group. Strava will automatically track your miles and display the community leaderboard so everyone can see their progress — no paper logs, no guesswork, just honest results and friendly competition.

As you reach each milestone, you’ll earn exclusive challenge gear sponsored by local businesses:

  • 25 Miles — May 13: "Tap Out" T-shirt or "Keep Going" Cooling Towel

  • 50 Miles — June 7: "Tap Out" T-shirt or "Keep Going" Drawstring Bag

  • 75 Miles — July 2: "Tap Out" T-shirt or "Keep Going" Running Hat

  • 100 Miles — July 26: Completion of the Challenge + Finisher’s Shirt

If you reach a milestone and choose to Tap Out (meaning you’ve decided to stop your progress there), you’ll receive the T-shirt for that milestone to recognize your effort. If you continue past that milestone, you’ll receive the alternate item listed — such as a cooling towel, drawstring bag, or running hat — as you work toward the 100-mile finish line.

Participants who complete all 100 miles will receive the alternate milestone items (cooling towel, drawstring bag, and running hat) along with a special Finisher’s Shirt recognizing their full completion of the challenge.

All participants — whether you Tap Out early or cross the 100-mile finish line — will be recognized during Parks and Recreation Month on July 31, 2026, celebrating your dedication to health, perseverance, and community spirit.

This challenge replaces the former Walk the Trail program, offering a verified, goal-driven experience that builds motivation, community pride, and accountability. Whether you’re walking through the park, around your neighborhood, or pushing yourself to stay consistent, the message remains the same — Keep Moving Forward.

How It Works

1. Register on Eventeny
Sign up for the Director’s 100-Mile Challenge through Eventeny. Once registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all program details and a link to join our official Strava group — a free walking and running app that tracks your miles and connects you with other participants.

2. Join the Strava Group (It’s Free!)
Create a free Strava account or log into your existing one. Joining the group connects you to other participants, automatically tracks your miles, and adds you to the community leaderboard — no paper logs required.

3. Start Walking or Running
Beginning April 18, 2026, start logging your miles in Strava. You’ll hit milestone dates on May 13, June 7, and July 2, and finish on July 26. Reach a milestone to claim your reward — and if you keep going, earn the alternate gear for that level.

If you prefer longer walks or runs and finish the 100 miles before the 100 days, there’s no penalty — your miles still count, and your effort will be fully recognized at the end of the challenge.

4. Celebrate Your Success
All participants will be recognized during Parks and Recreation Month on July 31, 2026, with special honors for those who complete the full 100 miles and earn their Finisher’s Shirt.
