Published: Thursday, August 8, 2024
The City of Newcastle would like to inform residents about scheduled maintenance work on our public water system that will be carried out by Mathews Trenching. This important maintenance is set to take place on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, beginning at 9:00 AM.
Details of the Work:
Location: The work will involve a tie-in on Highway 130 and a cut-and-plug on Highway 76.
Affected Areas: Homes along Highway 76, south of Highway 130, including the neighborhoods of Richland Park, Rolling Oaks, West Quail Estates, and Woodland Hills, will be impacted by this maintenance.
Water Service Impact:
- Residents east of the baseball fields on Highway 130 will continue to have water service during this time.
- However, residents along Highway 76 will experience reduced water pressure as they will be temporarily served by a four-inch line from 16th Street in The Oaks.
Duration: The work is expected to be completed by mid-day to late afternoon on the same day. We advise residents to plan accordingly for the temporary reduction in water pressure during this period.
Contact Information: Should you have any questions or require further information, please contact the Newcastle Public Works Authority at 405-387-4343.
